Richard graduated from Ulster University in 2005 and began a career with Caterpillar Electric Power. He dedicated 16 years of his career to the company gaining a range of valuable experience in the manufacturing industry. During his time at CAT Richard devoted his early years to becoming a Supply Chain expert. He successfully led numerous local and international projects, showcasing his extensive portfolio of achievements.

Richard’s career was marked by his unwavering commitment to gaining experience and qualifications in Lean Continuous Improvement  and Operational Excellence. He deeply understood the importance of continuous improvement and applied his knowledge and expertise to drive efficiency and effectiveness contributing to the company’s success.

During the final years of his career with CAT, his focus shifted towards operations management. Drawing from his extensive experience in Operational Excellence and Lean, he applied these methodologies to optimise the performance of his own teams, driving efficiency improvements and growth.
